In other news, for the fifth year in a row, the annual Brewers Community Foundation 5K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk has sold out, this time a full month before it is scheduled to occur. Four thousand runners and walkers have claimed all available slots in the 14th annual race, which will take place on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 8:00 am for runners and 8:15 am for walkers. All proceeds of the event will help Brewers Community Foundation extend financial support to non-profits that provide quality programming in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs. This year, Brewers Community Foundation proceeds go towards Fisher House Wisconsin. Fisher House provides a “home away from home” for military and veterans families to be close to a loved one while they receive treatment at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.
