Great Play: Bengals Support Devon Still & Daughter

This what a real man looks like. Devon Still caring for his daughter Leah who has cancer. Their organization may have been known as the Bungles for many years due to their woes, but not only are they getting better on the field, but their management is showing ability to be good - and do  good. This year they showed that rare ability to look beyond a winning roster an care for their players when they helped out Devon Still. Still was drafted by the Bengals in 2012 and played two season, but was not able to make the roster this year due to an injury. Still, however, needed the benefits of being a player - for his daughter Leah who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma stage 4 cancer and he needed the insurance to pay for her care. In a total class move, the Bengals signed him to their practice squad. position on the practice squad so that he could continue to pay for his daughter's cancer treatments. Father's Day & Men’s Health Concern #1: Heart Disease

It is almost  too  appropriate that on Father's day and the last day of Men's Health Week, the #1 concern is the Heart. On a day when we recognize our own - and other - fathers, learning about the heart - the strongest muscle, the source of life, and the proverbial source of emotion and love. They give us their hearts as we grow up, nurturing us with the strength of their heart. So as we and they get older, we need to make sure their heart is healthy so they can stay with us as long as possible. If you yourself are a father, it is all so important to your children that you make sure you are with them as long as possible.

July: Family Golf Month

The month of July is Family Golf Month , and Play Golf America  says it is a good time to get out with your family for a sort of staycation where you can be in nature, get some exercise, and bind with your family. Nearby golf courses participate in activities including free golf for kids and other specials for the family. A list of those participating in Wisconsin can be found here . Here in Wisconsin we have many golf courses, including the public courses of the Milwaukee County Parks , so it is easy to find one nearby and in various skill levels, including many 3-par courses for the beginner or casual golfer.

Habits for Happiness

What makes a man happy? Of course there are lots of things that men want and think make them happy such as babes, 'ball, and booze. But there are simpler things that men can do in order to just have a happier and healthier life.
