Good Old Local Help For Local Vet

Potosi Brewing Company and the Iron Horse Hotel are teaming up to help out a local hero tonight. You can't come up with much better of a Well-Met type of event. A local brewery, a non-profit to boot, the epitome of local Milwaukee coolness for a location, and serving a deserving man.

At the Potosi Beer Dinner at Iron Horse you can:

Enjoy five amazing courses from the Iron Horse's award-winning kitchen and six handcrafted beer selections from local Potosi Brewing Company. The evening will begin with a welcome reception at 6:30, followed by the first course served promptly at 7. Cost is $75; $5 from every reservation will be donated to Potosi, Wis. soldier Adam Alexander, wounded in action. RSVP by calling (414) 831-4615.

Iron Horse's praises are sung often, here and elsewhere, but many of you might not know about Potosi beer. Their full history can be found here, but the cool thing about Potosi is that the brewery itself is a non-profit organization whose mission is 'to channel all profits into its markets served to support historical and educational initiatives, and charitable causes' and also houses the American Breweriana Association national museum. Like most micro-breweries they have many brews, but their basic ale is called Good Old Potosi, a 'light bodied and refreshing ale', I recommend this and any of their beers.
