Be A Force For Change With Target Star Wars Ts

If you haven't heard, there's a new Star Wars movie coming out in two weeks. It's also the holiday season of gift giving. The confluence of these two events obviously lends itself to many sales of Star Wars merchandise, and many different businesses will make lots of money off of it.

I love me some some Star Wars, but with my Social Responsibility philosophy I prefer to give and get gifts that some how promote personal or communal wellness, so I was very excited to see Target has come out with merchandise that fulfill both those passions with the Star Wars Force4Fashion line of Ts. This line of special Rogue One inspired designs is made to support UNICEF. For each specially marked men’s and women’s Force 4 Fashion Rogue One t-shirt purchased through Target’s retail operations from November 27 – December 31, 2016, Target will donate $5 USD to U.S. Fund for UNICEF to support the UNICEF Kid Power program; maximum donation: $1 million USD

What it is even greater is the price point of these Ts. I expected to click on the link and see them to be at least $20, if not more, but they are each priced at $12.99. That makes them accessible to many people, and also makes the $5 donation more admirable: $5 from $13 is a lot more generous than from $20 or $25 as these easily could have been as special edition charitable items.

City Lights Cans Water. Why its better than bottles.

You may have seen the new trend for packaged water with brands like Liquid Death. Now a local brewery, City Lights Brewery , is getting in on the act. Except its not just an act, its not some fad, there are reasons to can vs. bottle water. Good reasons.

Make Men's Health Month About You

The month of November is (one of the) Men's Health Month(s), popularized by the Movember movement. (June is another recognized annual event but since it is November now, November it is.) It's a great foundation, it has been successful and is highly rated for its impact. But, one thing I see with the movement is that while they speak about men's health to the participants, I feel the participants themselves promote it outwardly rather than inward, at them. I personally fell victim to that selfsame issue, but no longer. As of this November, I am taking care of myself.
